The Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre was established in 1999 to provide veterinary practices throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria with a range of Specialist veterinary medicine disciplines within the one complex.
The main hospital is located in the central Melbourne suburb of Glen Waverley with specialist services also available at Essendon Fields located within the Animal Accident and Emergency Centre, at the Essendon Airport.

We are a unique specialist veterinary hospital , as we are not a primary health provider, but serve as an extension of general practice offering advanced knowledge and equipment to diagnose and treat your pet most efficiently. Following your consultation, our veterinarians will communicate with your referring veterinarian to assure a smooth transition and continuity of care. Similarly, following any diagnostics and/or procedures, your regular veterinarian will be fully informed of all results.
The Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre offers professional service in the following disciplines: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Dermatology, Oncology and Animal Behaviour. Some medical conditions may require involvement between two or more specialised disciplines, that can be performed conveniently within the Centre.
The Centre’s veterinary practitioners are all high respected in their fields and are active participants in the veterinary industry through their involvement in university distance education, research, clinical trials and regular appearances as guest speakers at conferences and seminars.
